Introduction
Ok before we start any kind of introduction first things first
Colin is actually the father and matthew is the son. Colin was
born in a place called the Vale of Evesham Worcestershire. So
how did it all start? Colin started his singing career at the age
of 13 when he formed his own group called the Prowlers, And
was often called the thirteen year old wonder boy. From the
Prowlers went on to sing with many top groups from the 1960s
and 70s. 1978 Colin became a butlins Redcoat and worked for
them for three seasons, And then became entertainments
manager for Pontins. In the early 80s he married his wife
Lesley and moved to Great Yarmouth , Colin was doing
Cabaret all over norfolk appearing alongside stars such as
Freddie Starr, Cannon & Ball, Brian conolly, Michael
Barrymore and many many more. Whilst in Great Yarmouth
Colin became great friends with a guy called Patrick Jacobs
they formed a vocal and comedy duo called Fish & Chips ha
ha!, Sadly the unique duo split up as Patrick decided to go
back to London to do childrens entertaining. After that Colin
appeared on BBCs Thats Life programme 3 times, In 1982 a
new wonder boy was born Colin's son matthew, Around about
10 years later Colin realised that son Matthew had a potential
singing voice so they decided to form Matthew & Son working
clubs and pubs all over the u.k. After a 6 months summer
season in the Costa del sol Matthew was invited to go to
Warsaw in Poland to appear on two childrens t.v shows "What
an experience that was and wasn't it cold! Colin said ha ha". 5
years later Matthew & Son Lesley and daughter Lucy decided
to move from the beautiful shores of the u.k to the beautiful
island of Mallorca working all over the island for many many
years. After 7 years in Mallorca they decided to move to
Benidorm Spain where they are now working in some of
Benidorm's top cabaret bars and having a wonderful time. Oh
and also they have a catch phrase if u didnt know HOW
MUCH! so there you go you now know the ins and outs of the
sensational Father and son vocal and comedy duo
